This vintage, tessellated stone desk is covered with lovely details. It is made of solid wood and veneered entirely on front, back, top, sides and legs with 1"x2" pieces of stone. There are 3 drawers with round stone knobs and mahogany wood inside and there is brass banding around the top of the desk and around all 4 feet. The piece is marked by both a brass Maitland-Smith plaque in the middle drawer and original paper label on the bottom of the desk "Handmade in Philippines Designed by Maitland-Smith LTD." This is such a great statement piece and could also be used for a console table or bar table.

CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. The brass banding shows patina and inside of drawers show slight wear from age and use. Tiles are free of chips or cracks (one tile was professionally restored (see last photo)).
