Early 20th century iron, brass and leather savonarola armchair also referred to as curule armchair. This version features tooled and gilded leather on an iron frame with brass mounts resting on trefoil feet.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. Brass, iron and leather show age-related patina and wear. There are stain spots on the leather seat as can be seen in photo #9 and there are also tiny, tiny flecks of white paint on the leather seat. The leather seat is attached to the chair frame with brass screws and there is 1 brass washer added to the screw on the front right-hand side of the leather seat (there is not a washer on the front left-hand side). Just noting this because one screw has a washer and the rest do not, it in no way changes the stability of the seat.
